Q02Which file formats does the Excel viewer support?
XLSX, XLSM, XLS, XLSB, ODS and CSV. Password-protected workbooks cannot be opened because the file is encrypted.
Q03Is my Excel file uploaded to a server?
No. The workbook is read entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Closing the tab removes it from memory.

Yes. There is no signup, no watermark and no limit on how many files you open.
Q05How large can the file be?
Files up to 25 MB are supported. A single worksheet can have up to 200,000 rows, 2,000 columns or 2 million cells; larger sheets are rejected instead of freezing the tab.
Q06Can I view all sheets in the workbook?
Yes. Every worksheet appears as a tab above the table. Hidden sheets are listed too, because the viewer reads the file rather than Excel's view settings.
Q07Why do formulas, colors or charts not appear?
The viewer shows the value each cell displays, which is what most people need to read or export. Formulas, conditional formatting, charts, images, comments and macros are not rendered.
Q08Can I edit the spreadsheet or convert it?
The viewer is read-only. Download the current sheet as CSV, then open it in the CSV Editor to change values, or use Excel to CSV and CSV to Excel for conversions.
