What Is a CSV Chart?
A CSV chart is a visualization built from comma-separated values. Spreadsheets, databases, and analytics tools export data as CSV, but rows and columns are hard to read until you map fields to axes, categories, and measures.
Use it for a quick chart or for deeper analysis. For a quick chart, upload the file, drag two columns, and click Save as PNG. For analysis, the same screen lets you summarize, filter, facet, and compare the way you would in Tableau, and all of it runs in the browser.

Q10What CSV format works best for charts?
One header row, one record per row, and the same number of columns in every row, saved as UTF-8. Rows with a different number of columns are skipped. In Excel, pick CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) when you save, because the plain CSV option can garble accented or non-Latin text. Comma- and semicolon-separated files both work. Write numbers plainly, like 1234.5, because thousands separators, currency signs, or a decimal comma make the column read as text. Dates written like 2026-01-31 or 01/31/2026 are detected as dates, so Auto can draw them as a line chart.
